Do you have a pair of glasses in front of your nose, or you have many unique and expensive eyewear closed in your drawer. The saying goes that eyes are the windows to the soul. Keep your visual environment clean and clear by cleaning your eyeglass lenses carefully and regularly.
They need to be taken care well. Something you should keep in mind.
Tips
Try to put off your eyewear with both your hands, instead of one that may distort its shape.
When you put off eyewear, you’d better lay the left temple first that it will lead to distortion.
It would be better if you swill the eyewear with clear water before rubbing it lightly with cloth. Remember don’t make too strenuous efforts, or it may be injured.
Keep glasses in a case when not in use. Be sure that they are kept in a safe place, away from clumsy hands that might knock them to the ground.
What’s more, it should be avoided direct sun exposure and hight-temperature environment, or it may result in metamorphose and changing in colours.
You should go to spectacle stores to adjust it, because a distorted eyewear can be a burden to your nose and ears, as well as lenses may easily drop down.
When you are doing some extremely outdoor activities, take care of it, or lenses probably be easily destroyed.
Warnings
Never touch the lenses when they are dry. Dirt particles will scratch the surface.
Never polish the lenses or rub them hard with a dry cloth.
Never use ammonia cleaners, they will damage the lens coating.
Do not use the tail of your shirt to clean your lenses, if you can help it. Most clothing fabrics contain abrasive fibers that will scratch or smear the lenses.
Be cautious about washing plastic glasses under very high temperatures. While hot temperatures will clean better, some plastics might deform.
Never use hand soap or hand wash to clean your glasses. They usually end up actually making the lenses dirtier! You’re better off using dish / washing up liquid. If it’s good enough for your drinking glasses, it’s good enough for your eye glasses.
